The Helford River, renowned for its sailing waters is close by, and there are many good beaches within easy reach. Budock Vean Golf Course (9 hole) is within a mile and Falmouth Golf Course (18 hole) is approx. five miles. The gorgeous little hamlet and beach of Durgan, on the Helford River, is about a 20 minute walk, as is Maenporth Beach (via the public footpath). The beautiful gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah are within walking distance. Falmouth is 5 miles and Truro is 12 miles away.
