Area :
Helford River
Pheasant Cottage sits on the north bank of the Helford River, just a few minutes walk from Helford Passage and several sandy coves. By this nature the cottage will appeal to those looking to get away from it all, to take long walks along the southwest coastal paths, and relax on the beach or in one of the local waterside inns. Being adjacent to the subtropical gardens of Trebah and in the near vicinity of the National Trust, Glendurgan Gardens, I expect this cottage will be popular with the horticulturists among us too. Trebah Garden includes its own private beach and a weekly family membership can be purchased for £25 permitting you access to both.
Mawnan Smith village is within half a mile and features a grocery/post office store, a gift/hardware shop, a hairdresser, a family run Italian restaurant and the thatched Red Lion Inn. Five miles on and Falmouth provides more extensive shopping facilities and great eateries, as well as passenger ferry links, leisure activities and the renowned National Maritime Museum Cornwall.
The cottage itself is a semi-detached barn conversion with a long history and heaps of character. The approach is along an unpaved road, which continues down past Pheasant Cottage to Trebah Beach.
Externally there is a courtyard style garden on the South side of the house and a small hard standing area on the North side, enabling you to catch the sun early and late in the day.
The cottage has exposed floorboards throughout and heating is provided by a combination of a multi-fuel burner and instant electric wall heaters, ensuring that you will always be warm and comfortable.

"Cottage has been tastefully decorated, beautiful setting and we had a very happy holiday here."
"Pheasant Cottage more than lived up to our expectations. The ideal property for a relaxing holiday. First time we have used CHC but certainly wont be our last. Maybe 1 or 2 gardening magazines could be provided to compliment the sailing ones - I was more than happy but my wife got annoyed at being ignored in the evenings!"
"Thank you! Lovely cottage and area. Very clean and comfortable. We had a lovely time and it was very peaceful. Would love to come again!"
