This large cottage, a stone's throw from the waters edge is in a wonderful south facing location. The house is ideally suited to families and has a huge open plan kitchen/dining room and large living room with both an open fire and wood burning stove. Upstairs three of the four bedrooms have beautiful views over the water. There is parking to the front of the house for three cars and then a stretch of lawn leading to the river, a perfect place to enjoy a BBQ as the sun goes down.
The village of Flushing, on the edge of the Penryn River, is a beautiful traditional Cornish village. There are two pubs, both serving excellent food, a recommended fish restaurant 'The Sticky Prawn', a small shop and post office. Five minutes drive away is the slightly larger village of Mylor with an array of shops. You can also catch the passenger ferry that runs daily into Falmouth, across the river, which is a great way to get about without the car. There are plenty of beautiful walks in and around the coast of the Fal estuary.
Mylor harbour is a five minute drive, and from here you can rent a boat or take part in any of the watersports on offer. Situated about 45min from the Eden project and 30min from the Lizard, Flushing is well located to explore Cornwall.
